- Effective
July 1, 2001, changes to Maryland's Minority Business Enterprise
(MBE) law have increased the State's overall program goal
from 14% to 25% participation by all certified MBEs. As part
of the changes, the State's MBE program now has two sub-goals.
The State shall attempt to achieve a sub-goal of 7% for firms
certified as African American-owned and 10% for firms certified
as Women-owned.
